Easy Makeup Techniques
Use these quick makeup techniques to help you quickly and easily apply makeup
Makeup Technique 1: Concealer/ Foundation
Gently blend concealer using the middle finger under the eyes to conceal dark circles and apply on blemishes or discolorations. Shake liquid foundation well, then apply on forehead, nose, cheeks and chin using a facial sponge. This will allow the makeup to blend more easily into the skin.
Makeup Technique 2: Ultra-Finish Foundation
Apply foundation with a chisel brush in a circular motion over your entire face for a natural, even matte finish. Apply with a facial sponge for more coverage.
Makeup Technique 3: Face Powder
Use Translucent Veil Face Powder or loose powder to set liquid makeup. Apply with a powdered brush, blending down. You may also use a dry facial sponge for extra coverage, if needed.
Makeup Technique 4: Blush
Apply blush with a makeup brush in light stroke to the apples of your cheeks. Blush should be no closer than the width of two fingers near the nose or eyes.
Makeup Technique 5: Eye Shadow
Select one all-over base of darker eye shadow and apply with an eye shadow makeup brush, then build definition by adding a lighter eye shadow tone on top. A dark color can be applied to the outer corners of the eye and near the lashes to create more depth to the eye. Remember: blend the colors together.
Makeup Technique 6: Eyeliner
Line the outer lid of the eye with an eyeliner, like Aloette's Waterproof Mechanical Eye Definer Pencil. Liners should be more intense or darker on the outer corners of the eyes and narrow towards the inner corners.
Makeup Technique 7: Mascara
Curling the lashes first is a helpful way to apply mascara evenly on lashes. Try applying mascara from roots to ends, this will create fuller, darker lashes.
Makeup Technique 8: Eyebrows
Comb the eyebrows up and out with a brow brush, then fill in with a matching pencil. Apply with light strokes, then comb up and out again.
