Eyeliner comes in all shades and types, from pencil to gel to liquid. Using eyeliner can enhance the look of your eyes and make them more dramatic. Follow these tips for using eyeliner and achieve a beautiful look every time you apply your eye makeup.

 
Eyeliner Application Tip 1:
To improve the appearance of eyeliner and make your eyeliner last longer, try applying a sheer powder on the upper and lower eyelids first – before applying your eyeliner. If you are going to apply mascara or eyeshadow, do it before putting on eyeliner to avoid smudging.

 
Eyeliner Application Tip 2:
Depending on the look you are trying to achieve, choose an eyeliner that is either powder-based,  liquid-based, gel-based or an eye pencil. For a cleaner look, use Aloette’s Waterproof Mechanical Eye Definer Pencil. To create a softer line, eye pencils are best.

 
Eyeliner Application Tip 3:
It is important to keep your hand steady when you apply eyeliner. Start in the middle of the eyelid, and softly drag the eyeliner to the inner corner of the eye. Try drawing as close to the eyelashes as possible, then go back to the center of the eyelid and repeat outward.

 
Eyeliner Application Tip 4:
If the eyeliner does smudge, then do not reapply more eyeliner. Simply use a Q-tip dampened with some warm water.
